With over two decades of experience in marketing, sales, and strategic business leadership, Nilanga Rathnayake is a visionary entrepreneur known for building strong brands, developing high-performing teams, and driving sustainable growth across diverse industries.
Nilanga began his career in 1998 at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (Pvt) Ltd, where he developed a solid foundation in sales management and customer engagement. His commitment to excellence and strategic acumen led him to hold key leadership roles at some of Sri Lanka’s most respected organizations — including Capital Maharaja Organisation, Abans Group, CHint power solutions and Chint Energy (Pvt) Ltd.
In 2022, Nilanga founded CANILCO HOLDINGS (PVT) LTD, channeling his entrepreneurial vision into establishing a diversified enterprise built on innovation, strategic partnerships, and customer-centric growth. Under his leadership, CANILCO continues to evolve as a forward-thinking organisation committed to excellence, ethical business practices, and long-term value creation.
Nilanga holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). He is a Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) accredited by the Asia Marketing Federation, Singapore, and an active member of both SLIM and the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI).
